* A quick note: We are going to begin featuring different classroom blogs to give everyone in the school a snapshot of the other happenings on campus. Feel free to check out all of the classroom pages at any time, or just check out the week's Featured Teacher! This does not replace checking your own child's classroom page, and any vital information will still be communicated by the office through regular methods.
Enjoy!

Ms. Gill's 2nd Grade B
Conferences!
(post from 10/21)
It was so great to see all those that attended conferences! I had great conversations with parents and grandparents about the amazing things students are doing in 2nd grade. We were also able to set some great goals that students can work on over the next several months. Thank you for attending!
Some important notes to take away from conferences!
*Reading at home with your child daily is one of the simplest and most effective ways to help in reading!
*We are working towards exposing our students to more non-fiction this year!
*Ask comprehension questions as you read with your child
*You can easily test students on math facts in the car or while waiting in line at the movie theater! It will help improve their speed for math fluency tests and aid in skills for when we work on adding 2-digit numbers.
*Students are about to start lots of writing!! Please check handwriting on homework! Also, check that students are capitalizing and punctuating sentences!
